Temporary changes in operations

Ballina Byron Gateway Airport NSW

Due to flood damage the medical response helicopter that normally operates out of Lismore has now been relocated to the Ballina Byron Gateway Airport for approximately six months. 的 helicopter operations may occur at any time of the day or night and local residents may notice an increase during this time.

Melbourne Airport VIC 9 to 12 May 2022

Due to runway works at the airport the east/west runway, 跑道09/27, will be closed each night between 10:00pm and 6:00am, commencing on Monday 9 May at 10:00pm and concluding at 6:00am on Thursday 12 May. All aircraft will operate on the north/south runway during these times.

Melbourne Airport VIC 26 April to 10 May 2022

How low can aircraft operate?

的 Civil Aviation Safety Authority have regulations for how low aircraft can fly. 的se regulations require pilots fly no lower than 1,000 feet (ft) over built-up areas, or 500 feet over any other areas, unless they are landing or taking off.
